Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us on the below "contact us" form if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Our plan is to retain landscaping around the edge of the property and add fencing. The carpark is planned to have extensive landscaping between rows. The church hall will be a modest building, just one storey in height and have a modest exterior façade specifically designed by an architect to be in keeping with the area. A visual impact study has been completed and is available to view via the top menu of this website

None of the significant trees on Bald Hills Road will be removed. We think they are beautiful and our plans have been specifically designed around them

We currently have no plans associated with the house.  The house will be kept tidy and well maintained. Our intention is to preserve the house, invest in some landscaping enhancements, and focus on developing the southern area of the lot. It will not be rented out.

We’ve searched extensively for a suitable site and this one checked many boxes:

  • Direct access from Bald Hills Road.
  • Traffic entering and exiting via a major road network.
  • Limited impact on local residential streets.
  • Significant setbacks to neighbouring dwellings.
  • Large site area allowing impacts to be managed onsite.
  • Extensive opportunities for landscaping and screening.
  • Proximity to existing community facilities.
  • An existing Place of Worship already located on Bald Hills Road.
  • Adequate area  for parking, stormwater management and buffering.

The northern end of the block will be cleaned up and we are investing in some landscaping enhancements. Our church has a strong sense of community and parishioners will take pride in ensuring a well-maintained site.

No. The hall would not be available for hire so that we can guarantee that we will be quiet, courteous neighbours.

No the existing waterway will not be impacted. The waterway through the block will be maintained and enhanced with the use of rocks and vegetation

A retention basin is designed to be included in a lower area of the land to collect stormwater in accordance with council regulations

Subject to planning approval, we would hope to begin construction in 2027.   We will share more information about construction should our planning permit application be approved.

We haven’t worked out the construction logistics yet, but we will be sure to engage an experienced and reputable principal contractor.

We know that parking and dust suppression are key concerns for neighbours and we will do our best to minimise impacts.

Yes the northern end of the block will be cleaned up, neatly completed and and maintained. Our church has a strong sense of community and parishioners will take pride in ensuring a well-maintained site.

The existing sewer system in the area has recently been upgraded and has enough capacity. The existing power transformers are more than sufficient. So no upgrades are required for the development, and there is no impact on downstream infrastructure.

A specialist traffic consultant has been engaged and conducted a study and has determined that no upgrades or disruption to Bald Hills Road is necessary.  A specifically designed entrance in conjunction with a rural post and rail fence in proposed. The hall will have minimal use and traffic generated will mostly be outside of peak hours.

Yes, our congregation includes people across a range of ages and abilities, and we have specifically designed access and amenities for our community.

We warmly welcome feedback on our proposal and we will do our best to address concerns. We welcome you to reach out to us via the "Contact Us" form below. Council will also put the development application on public exhibition to enable public feedback
